The experience was far classier, well executed and the food better than I expected and 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' gained a 7 'teddy' rating.
The Welcome My coat, & umbrella, were taken but I had to wait a little time for my table. However, chatting to the charming hosts about #travelblog www.sifrew.com meant this did not present a problem. What a View The 'Tiffany Robin's Egg Blue' room is light & airy. When we got to my zinc topped table I was asked if I wanted to face the room or Central Park. I opted for Louis Vuitton & the Park. Quite a view for a 'Shropshire lad'! It Had to Be Breakfast & Truffles The menu was rather redundant, as I knew I must have the truffled eggs. I ordered a double espresso & sparkling water and my waitress managed to find some lime for me. I Had Forgotten How Good Nutella Is!!! I was first served a bowl of seasonal fresh fruit that was surprisingly good and a light croissant with deliciously tart rhubarb preserve and some heavenly Nutella. The www.sifrew.com Extra The Manager, who I chatted to while waiting for the table, then brought me a crudo dish "compliments of The Blue Box Cafe". It was Kona Kampachi (a yellowtail) with radish, fennel, Espelette pepper and olive oil. A deliciously light dish with such fresh flavours. Decadent Truffled Eggs However, the main event was my truffled eggs. They were perfectly soft & creamy and served with shaved Burgundy truffles, rich buttery Kunik cheese and crumbled smoked bacon. An exquisitely perfect dish & everything I hoped for. 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻(7 out of 5 ‘teddies’) - excellent staff, a beautiful room and exquisite food all contributed to a 7 'teddies' rating. My tips:- book early and pick the breakfast options. |
