I Really Do Have The Best Parents in The World! - London, UK - July 2019

I am so lucky to still have both of my parents.  They decided to visit me in London.  It was the first time they had stayed at my Barbican place since my days working for the Bank of England and I decided to show them 'Si Frew's London'.

This included lunch at The Ned hotel; Veuve Clicquot champagne on the balcony at my place; cocktails at the pop-up at Four Seasons @ Ten Trinity Square with breathtaking views of London; dinner outside by the river at Le Pont de la Tour; mum & dad also staying at The Farmers Club; dad & me having Scottish breakfasts at The Farmers Club; seeing 'An Enquiring Mind: Manolo Blahnik at the Wallace Collection'; shopping in Heal's with mum; and checking out the window boxes at Rules in Covent Garden with mum & dad.

It was a '7 teddies' (🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻) experience, with '7 teddy' parents. Hope the photos below do justice to all this. 

At the Four Seasons @ Ten Trinity Square pop-up. We walked through a David Linley furnish Residence to get there & this ex Qatar guy had stories about The Shard to tell.

Lunch at Zobler's Deli & Diner in The Ned with free 'bubbles' thanks to hotel Manager David.

The elegant 'explorer suite' at Threadneedles Hotel GM Cedric let me use, while my parents' stayed at my Barbican place. The Aromatherapy Associates bath products were a luxury welcome surprise.

This LVMH Brand Ambassador had to serve Veuve Cliquot champagne at my place.

Our dinner at Le Pont de la Tour could not have been better & there were even more free 'bubbles' thank to Events Manager Simona.

My Marco Pierre White breakfast at Hotel Threadneedles. Proud to have met that chef when I returned from working for Promontory Financial Group (an IBM Company) in Cyprus.

Our Sunday lunch at HIX Oyster & Chop House in Farringdon. I dreamt about this beef while working in Cayman Islands.

The Farmers Club my parents are members of. I stayed there, with them, while working in Bermuda.

My Scottish breakfast at The Farmers Club, with haggis. I had to pick this dish to celebrate my legendary Scottish Vet dad.

The opulent upstairs rooms at the Wallace Collection were the perfect venue to show off Manolo Blahnik's divine shoes & boots.

'Sex & the City' first brought Manolo Blahnik to my attention but 'An Enquiring Mind: Manolo Blahnik at the Wallace Collection' shows his true genius.

Manolo Blahnik's sketches are works of art themselves.

Shopping in Heal's with mum meant I got some lampshades for my place that I adore.

Since mum & dad left, I went to a dinner party in Notting Hill hosted by a former Bank of England colleague. This inspired me to visit the 'Summer Exhibition 2019' at the Royal Academy.

I have also been back to Four Seasons @ Ten Trinity Square to meet another of my extraordinary friends from Shropshire.
