The hotel literally rolled out the red carpet for me. With party poppers, a glass of cold champagne and a hug from F&B Director Antoine, it was an incredible way to return to this beautiful hotel. I visited Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square in London on the first day it opened, and have been shown their private members' club and residencies, and they had been storing Veuve Clicquot I did not want to take to Cayman Islands for 8 months. This was, therefore, the natural choice for my first hotel of Christmas 2017.
I wanted it to be a special start to Christmas and Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square exceeded my expectations by far. It truly is a 'seven teddy' hotel now.

| The Rolls-Royce Phantom II My Rolls-Royce Phantom II was waiting for me at Heathrow, after my flight in the new American Airlines First Class suites from Miami, a www.sifrew.com way to start Christmas. Tariq the driver was great to chat with and we glided into London in incredible style. On the journey I learnt Charlie, the GM of Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square, was recovering from knee surgery and so I would not see him. Rosewood, London; 'Free' Champagne; Chatting About Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman & Seeing My Godson My American Airlines plane was late and so, with heavy London traffic, we decided I should go straight to Rosewood, London to meet my godson and his mother, who I last saw at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. Arriving in the Rolls-Royce Phantom II got me quite a reception at Rosewood, London and staff agreed to hold my luggage, while I had lunch. In the Holborn Dining Room we were brought 'free' champagne and my godson and I both had the fish finger sandwiches. He was hoping for processed orange juice, but they only had fresh, and the rustic fish finger sandwich was not to his taste. However, he dealt with these 'disappointments' with his usual quiet charm. Remus, the hotel Manager, came to speak to us and it was fascinating to hear he used to work at Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. The Welcome @ Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square As we arrived in a black cab the driver jokingly asked me if the reception committee on the steps was for me. My Executive Room David, the Guest Relationship Manager, took me up to my elegant & spacious Executive Room. This is the same style of room I stayed in before I moved to Cayman Islands and the attention to detail in them is stunning (eg Herringbone wall coverings, gilt mosaic style bathroom etc). However, after my night flight, the gorgeous Bright White Four Seasons bedlinen, that I recently missed at Four Seasons Buenos Aires, most interested me. The Gifts I had been left Crozes-Hermitage 2015 wine and cheese but it was my new Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square notebook, embossed with my initials, that thrilled me and the desserts with gold leaf were delicious. Shirt Pressed & Bottega Veneta Bath Products After using the rainforest shower, and loving the smell of the Bottega Veneta bath products, I felt a little more human. The Rotunda Bar My friends then started arriving in The Rotunda Bar. It was so good to see the bar staff again and they even had a teddy bear, with his own martini, for me. It was then an unforgettable evening of very dry Grey Goose martinis, champagne and laughs. My friends were all in such good Christmas moods and I am so lucky to have such special people in my life. Sorry for all the emails everyone. A Deliciously Leisurely Start to Saturday I started the next day in La Dame de Pic admiring my new notebook embossed with my initials and reading the Weekend Financial Times. The breakfast staff even had a Christmas stocking for me containing a mini teddy bear. Then it was a leisurely, perfectly cooked, breakfast catching up on emails with a double espresso. A Swimming Pool to Myself The pool at Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square was not yet open when I last stayed. On this stay I was lucky enough to have it to myself. Elegant bliss and it was warmer than the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown pool. The Ned Hotel I then took a walk to see new The Ned Hotel, which was also not open when I was last in London. This used to be the Midland Bank, when I worked for the Bank of England, and I was surprised the public areas are so similar to the way I remember them. Thoughtful Gifts from LVMH I ended my time at Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square admiring the Veuve Clicquot hammock & umbrella gifts my friends at LVMH had sent me. What great gifts for someone living in the Caribbean. 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻(7 out of 5 ‘teddies’) - the red carpet welcome with champagne; incredible staff; new Four Seasons, Ten Trinity Square notebook embossed with my initial; and excellent/elegant facilities again broke the 'teddy score'.
