A 'warung' is a small family owned roadside stall and this place was founded by New Yorker Brian Aldinger and his Javanese partner Isnuri Suryatmi. The place's cheeky slogan is 'Eat, Pay, Leave', a reference to Ubud, Elizabeth Gilbert's self-realization book and the Julia Robert's film. The ice cold martinis at Naughty Nuri's are incredible and served with a flourish. You also have to try the BBQed pork ribs. They are tender & juicy and the meat falls off the bone. 🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻 (5 out of 5 ‘teddies’) - the perfect martinis, the succulent ribs and friendly staff make this a must visit place in Ubud. My tips: talk to the other customers. I met a brilliant couple from Zurich who love Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay almost as much as me. Also get a taxi there. It is not easy to find on Jalan Raya Sanggingan, with no street numbers in Bali. |
