The Plaza hotel is a New York icon and I decided I must have a Sunday breakfast there. There is something very special when you walk though that hotel's doors.
| I approached The Palm Court but was disappointed by its new look. The ladies on its front desk suggested The Champagne Bar might be better for me. I found I had this beautiful room to myself. Ivica was my waiter. I found him almost gruff to start but then realised it was just his old style New York manner and perfect for the place. The fact the steak was Wagyu meant I picked the steak & eggs again. There was a long wait for the food but looking out a Bergdorf Goodman was a perfect way to kill time. Everything on the plate was bursting with flavour and the tart fresh orange juice some of the best I have had. 🐻🐻🐻🐻(4 out of 5 ‘teddies’) - Ivica, the room and the food/juice were all perfect. It just lost a 'teddy' because the wait for the food was too long. My tip: avoid The Palm Court and head to The Champagne Bar instead. |  Nothing says New York like looking out at Bergdorf Goodman.  My Wagyu hanger steak was under that Arugula.  The Champagne Bar I had to myself. So much more elegant than the current look of The Palm Court. |
