Many people try to decide whether to view the Iguazu Falls (Spanish spelling) or Iguassu Falls (Portuguese spelling) from the Argentina or Brazil sides. We did both and you really have to. You get the grand perspective from the Brazil side and can get wet & close on the Argentina side. I cannot stress how magnificent these 100s of independent falls are and how fun it was taking a boat under them was from the Argentina side. Devil's Throat is the highest point and must be viewed from the Argentina side. We stayed at the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas on the Brazil side & had lunch at the hotel Melia on the Argentina side. A true '7 teddies' (🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻) awe-inspiring/ jaw-dropping experience. My Tip:- enjoy all this with someone as fun & knowledgeable as my Uruguayan friend. |
